BOAT TRIP ON LAKE VILLARRICA

TOUR TO THE CHILE-ARGENTINE BORDER

On this outstanding trip towards Argentina you will pass through thousand year old forests, all the while with a perfect view of the Lanin volcano. We will enjoy a cocktail and canapés at the highest point of the journey before returning to Pucón.

TREKKING IN HUERQUEHUE NATIONAL PARK

36 km. from Pucón begins our adventure in one of the most captivating national parks of the area. The thousand year old Araucaria trees and native Northofagus forests dominate the national park offering us an unforgettable experience. Photo opportunities at various waterfalls allow us refreshing breaks on our way to view the four lakes in the centre of the park. Please note this is a 4/5 hour route of medium to difficult walking. We recommend you wear comfortable clothes, and take bathing suits in summer.

BIRDWATCHING

We invite you to participate in our privileged bird watching world where you will see different species in their native habitats. Our half day tour begins in the gardens of the hotel, continues at the edge of one of our local rivers and finishes in the mountains. Longer tours are available.

HUIFE HOT SPRINGS*

VOLCANIC CAVES*

Just 18 Km. from Pucón this large scientific and ecological park is located on the north side of Villarrica volcano. Here you can visit the photo exposition in the Volcano House, and in the Lava Tunnel you will find huge caverns made up of the different types of rocks and minerals. There is a hanging bridge where you can view the start of the native forest on the sides of the volcano itself.

VILLARRICA VOLCANO ASCENT*
Duration: 7 Hrs.
Experience one of the most sought after excursions in the area – a 4-6 hour hike to the crater of the live Villarrica volcano. You will enjoy views of distant lakes, towns and other volcano peaks as you reach the crater itself. The knowledge and experience offered by the guides we use will allow you a safe and fun ascent. You must reserve in advance as you are required to try the equipment the day before the hike. Includes guide, transport and all necessary equipment. Good physical shape required.

RAFTING TRANCURA ALTO*
Duration: 5 Hrs.
For one and a half hours you will descend Grade 4 rapids in the middle of native forests, waterfalls and captivating views of the local volcanoes. The combination of adrenalin and adventure result in an unforgettable experience. Includes guide, transport and all necessary equipment. Minimum age 14. Dependent on river conditions.

RAFTING TRANCURA BAJO*
Duration: 4 Hrs.
An ideal family adventure descending Grades 2 and 3 rapids. For one hour you will experience the emotion and adrenaline of white water accompanied by native forests, waterfalls and impressive views of the local volcanoes. Includes guide, transport and all necessary equipment. Minimum age 8. Dependent on river conditions.

FLY FISHING*

The best way to enjoy the fly fishing in the area is by slowly descending our rivers on a typical boat. No experience necessary. Apt for children and families. The excursion can be taken as a fly fishing class or simply as an experience in itself.

CANOPY*
Duration: 2,5 Hrs.
For a full adrenaline experience our canopy rides take you along 10 lines ranging between 40 and 140 metres long. Hanging 25 metres above the ground you will reach speeds of between 20 and 40 km per hour. Includes all necessary equipment (harness, gloves and helmet), guides and transport.

HORSE BACK RIDING*

Horse back is a perfect way to discover our native lands and view the snow capped peaks of the volcanoes, various glaciers, waterfalls and endemic forests. Ideal for families our 3 hour horse rides allow you to connect with nature and experience the typical Chilean countryside. KAYAKING*

You will begin with a basic class to learn how to control the kayak before leaving for a paddle around the peninsula. No experience necessary. Apt for children and families. Includes guide, transport and all necessary equipment. Full day 6/7 hours – September to April You will begin with a basic class to learn how to control the kayak before leaving for the river. Green fee payable From the golf club “Peninsula de Pucón” you will have a spectacular view of the volcano and Lake Villarrica. Golf lessons are available and must be reserved in advance.
